That was a good one. Although many people are fearful of all snakes whether they are venomous or not.

It's not bad, but I am nitpicky over vids like this. If I am Joe Blow, I am going to kill most water snakes still for fear they are water mocassins, hognose snakes are going down like charlie brown, and bullsnakes are doomed as I am not going to wait and see if their tail that's shaking in the leaves has a rattle or not...

Since I'm not Joe Blow, I'll say this, I am glad people are willing to try to make vids like this as it can't hurt anything much. I think the "eastern" coral that he has a picture of near the end is actually a south american species. The red bands look pretty wide, and the head for some reason doesn't remind me of an eastern right away but I could be wrong. It's a coral either way.

Something that I read a while back... and for the life of me I cant remeber where.

The SA corals are just the opposite of the American Species. Red & Black kill a fellow.

The red/black/yellow rhyme only works for North American species.

There are still tons of South American species that have the same or similar pattern as ours, it's just that the mimics also have red to yellow sometimes, and there are species of deadly corals with red to black, but that particular snake shows up a couple times in google images as an eastern but you can see what I mean comparing the width of its red bands to all of the other "for sure" eastern corals.

I wasn't talking just about the snake in the video, just corals in general.

I know Randy, my comment was more in response to Kevin's post, I didn't even see yours to be honest.
