Default Leo eye problem HELP!

I currently have 3 leopard Geckos and the youngest, Lindsey, has had some dry shed stuck on her eye. Worried, i took her to the nearest breeder and he took her in the back and pulled it out. He told us that most likely she would now be blind. I feel that its my fault and i keep blaming myself now that my other leo Stella has the same problem! i have taken pictures and will post them when i have the time. I have tried EVERYTHING! Giving her a warm bath, put her in the moist hide for a while, upped the humidity in the tank, rubbing the skin around the eye with warm water, used this shedding product i found at Petco and nothing has worked. She also cant open her other eye, i have no idea why. There was shed stuck over it but i got that off and it STILL wont open! She is refusing to eat and im very worried about my baby. Her tail is skinny and im afraid she is going to die. Any ideas on how to help?

Your leo really needs a trip to the vet... there's more wrong than just bad shed here. In fact, the bad shed itself is probably a symptom of an illness.

A leo with a skinny tail that can't open its eye(s) that's refusing to eat is a very sick leo...especially the skinny tail part. A leo's tail should be fat and that worries me. I'd recommend calling around your local vets and find one that works with reptiles. If you don't...I don't mean to sound mean, but it's probably going to die.

Welcome to HerpFamily by the way!

Definitely get to a vet, there are not very good pics of the mouth but in that second one there is something that looks like it is coming out and could potentially be mouth rot or an infected injury or something else that could be the cause of it not eating.

I didn't even know geckos or other lizards with eyelids could get such bad retained sheds that it would make their eyes stuck shut, I think there are other things going on with it and it's causing it to be so stressed it's not shedding, I don't think the bad shed is the cause, but a symptom of a more serious issue, a vet visit, or a plastic bag taxi to the back of the freezer are what need to happen next.

Thank you so much guys. These are my first Geckos and i have been searching a few days on anything that could be wrong with her. I talked to my nan and tomorrow after school we will be taking the two Geckos with the eye problems to Dr. Grecko, a nearby herp vet that treated my old bird.

That's good to hear...as long as your gecko isn't too far gone, I think they both should have no problems pulling through.

Also, since this has happened twice now...I'd recommend reading through a few more caresheets and see if you can figure out if you're doing something wrong, and if you are, figure out what it is so it doesn't happen again.

One thing that should help with the shedding is to put a tupperware container with a small entry hole cut in the side containing damp sphagnum moss in there and mist it daily so it stays humid and damp.

I took her in today, she did have mouth rot and he took a Q-tip with some peroxide and water and gently flushed out the mouth. He gave us some medicine we have to give her once a day and the skin should come out on its own with time. He didn't want to take it out like the man at the breeder because he was afraid of damaging the eye. So, all good news, i'm separating her and am going to check the other two out for the mouth rot soon. So, thank god shes going to be ok! =)

I already have 3 moist hides. But Stella refuses to go in them or when she does the bigger one would push her out. So, i separated her and gave her her own.
